Built with the communities we serve.

BNFT is being developed in association with 14 student unions and one community organisation, together representing all eight Northeastern states. These associations are trusted points of connection for players, students, young professionals and supporters living away from home.

Their involvement helps BNFT remain connected to the communities it represents while creating a shared platform for football participation, volunteering and community engagement.

Why this matters

Community is the foundation.

For many footballers from Northeast India living in Delhi, student unions and community teams are where football continues after leaving home. They provide organisation, identity, teammates and a sense of belonging.

BNFT works with these existing community structures instead of attempting to replace them. Their involvement helps connect the tournament with players, volunteers and supporters through organisations that communities already know and trust.

This makes BNFT more than an event presented to the community. It becomes a football platform in which the community has meaningful representation and participation.
